On Sunday November 15, 2015 we will celebrate our Pastor for Seven years of Service to Friendship Baptist Church.

Evening Service: Will be lead By Pastor Tracy Wheeler, of the Greater Springfield Baptist Church in Atlanta, Ga

 

Refreshments will be served between services.

 

 

 

Pastor Wheeler is the Senior Pastor of the Greater Springfield Baptist Church located in the historic Vine City area of Metropolitan Atlanta.

Pastor Wheeler continues to be passionate about proclaiming the Good News of Jesus Christ, while making the Word of God relevant in the lives of believers.

Pastor Wheeler is progressive in his thinking and uses a dynamic "out of the box" approach when preaching the word of God.  His messages are simple enough that they can be understood by all, yet powerful enough to provoke you to take immediate action as the seasoned saint.  

Pastor Wheeler fervently believes the Great Commission of the Church is to go and make disciples of every man. His vision incorporates his belief that for the 21st century church to be successful we must incorporate evangelism, discipleship and church planting as integral priorities in our ministry strategies.  He believes that the church has the awesome responsibility of transforming sinners into saints, the helpless into the helpful and believers into Christians

Known as an extensive revivalist and teacher in Georgia, South Carolina, Florida and Alabama; Pastor Wheeler has had the pleasure of ministering for the General Missionary Baptist Convention Congress of Christian Education while leading, organizing, and implementing many diverse programs to equip God’s people for service during these revival and teaching opportunities.

Pastor Wheeler is a native of Georgia; he is married to Sheila Butler-Wheeler. He is the father of three sons and one daughter.  A graduate of Washington County High School, Sandersville, Georgia, he furthered his education by attending Turner Theological Seminary Center and later Brewton Parker College.
