Rev. D. Roger Smith
D. Roger Smith was born the youngest child of two Crawfordville natives; to the late Jimmy R, Smith and Mrs. Ada (Heath) Smith-Brownlee. He is married to Donita Smith. They have three Children; Roselle, Dexter junior, and Heath.
Education: BA From Georgia State University
Licensed in 1988, at First Corinth Baptist Church in Atlanta under the Late Pastor M.L Raglin
Ordained in 1991 also at First Corinth
Youth Minister at First Corinth from 1988 until 1994
Pastor True Faith Baptist Church in East Point, GA from 1994 until 1998
Associate Minister at Greater Springfield from 1994 (including filling in for Pastor Whitfield during a prolonged illness in 2007)
Youth Minister and Church Administrator Word of Praise Baptist in Fairburn from 2005 until 2009
He began preaching for Friendship occasionally during late 2008. He became the Interim Pastor here officially in April of 2009 and called to Senior Pastor in November 2011.
Family history: On the morning of September 30, 1990 Rev. Smith met his future wife at First Corinth Baptist Church(Atlanta).They were wed a year later on December 9, 1991 at Crusselle- Freeman Church(Atlanta). They have been blessed with three children
